This is a 4x4 page I made for a friend. I wanted to use a quote that gave her strength within her sadness and I think this one by Kahlil Gibran is just perfect. It is one that I often think about in reference to my dad.
Above is the entire collage before it is folded into a square. The quote is on the back side. This was done mostly using digital scrapbooking elements. The two hearts and the bird image on the front side were added after I printed it out. I also wrapped the bird image with the brown string before gluing it on to add more texture. Here is the front side alone:
