First, a few stanzas from "A Psalm of Life" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;
Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.
Then the "footprints" I will leave behind this week:
"The Creative Soul" Gothic Arch for Tamara S.
"Sweet Treasures" Gothic Arch for Dorothy A.
"Go Ask Alice" 8x8 Tip-in Pages for Judy E.

thank you for reminding me of this poem. It is truly an inspiration for me, as I am constantly working towards leaving my footprints in the sands of time.
